Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing financial processes and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and receivable, as well as proficiency with accounting software.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.

- Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain organized records.

- Utilize Quick Books to track and update financial information efficiently.

- Handle invoice processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.

- Reconcile account statements and resolve any discrepancies.

- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and documentation.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Monitor transactions for adherence to company policies and standards.

- Support audits by providing necessary records and documentation when required.

- Perform general accounting duties as assigned by management. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and financial record-keeping.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.

- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
