Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our esteemed healthcare organization. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, including reconciliations, year-end close, and financial reporting. With over 5 years of experience in healthcare accounting, the Senior Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Manage the process of financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular ledger processes and reconciliations.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
  • Coordinate year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
  • Review and analyze financial data for accuracy, correctness, and completeness.
  • Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
  • Monitor and mentor junior staff and assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Proven experience in financial forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • High level of integrity, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to recognize and resolve problems.
