Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. In this role, you will handle various financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining financial records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and tracking outstanding payments.

- Utilize Quick Books software to maintain and update financial records.

- Perform data entry tasks to ensure financial information is accurately recorded.

- Review and process invoices to ensure compliance with company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

- Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting is a plus.
