Overview
We are a leading Midwest-based recruiting firm partnering with a premier design/build firm to find a highly qualified Senior Accountant.
You will be on the front lines, ensuring the financial integrity of complex, high‑impact engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare revenue month‑end close reports and journal entries, including proposing cost in excess of billings calculations.
- Analyze and review complex engineering contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and company policy.
- Update and collaborate on percentage‑of‑completion calculations for project records.
- Partner cross‑functionally with the Engineering Services Team to gather and maintain essential accounting documentation.
- Assist in process improvement, automation projects, and prepare detailed support packages for the annual audit.
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) – required.
- 3+ years of revenue accounting experience; public accounting background (Big 4 preferred).
- Strong US GAAP knowledge and extensive experience with ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
- Collaborative accounting team working closely with the Controller and CFO.
- In‑office role to facilitate seamless collaboration and team integration.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot) and ERP systems proficiency.
