We are seeking a driven spaceflight project management intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in project management within the aerospace industry while supporting our mission to advance space technology and exploration.
Responsibilities- Assist the PMO team with tracking project milestones, schedules, and deliverables
- Prepare and update project documentation and status reports
- Support the creation and maintenance of project plans using project management software
- Participate in project meetings and design reviews
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and visualization for project performance metrics
- Coordinate cross‑functional team activities and communication
- Support risk management processes by maintaining risk logs and action item tracking
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or related field
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Basic understanding of project management principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Interest in the aerospace industry and space systems
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana)
- Basic understanding of Agile or traditional project management methodologies
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Knowledge of space systems or aerospace industry
This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. Intern hourly rates are determined based upon the technical/non‑technical nature of the position and years of experience/education. Min (Hourly): $22 Max (Hourly): $28
