Senior Test Engineer Job Description
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing tests, procedures, and test articles for electrical and mechanical spaceflight hardware. You will troubleshoot electronics, focusing on fault isolation and root cause determination. Your role will include executing and validating test documentation and equipment, as well as running environmental testing such as shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration testing.
Responsibilities- Design and develop test procedures for spaceflight hardware.
- Troubleshoot electronics to identify and resolve faults.
- Execute and validate test documentation and related equipment.
- Conduct environmental testing including shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration tests.
- Proficiency in test engineering.
- Experience with environmental testing.
- Strong skills in electronics troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with satellite and spaceflight hardware testing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with miniaturized sensors and space-based instrumentation.
- Knowledge of EO/IR and RF-based payloads.
The role is based in a manufacturing environment that focuses on the ‘New Space’ small satellite sector, specializing in miniaturized sensors. The projects are unclassified payload programs, one EO/IR-based and the other RF-based, marking a significant scale‑up from previous prototyping and R&D efforts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Louisville, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.75 – $64.90/hr.
