Quality Engineer Job Description
The Quality Engineer will develop product-specific quality programs that comply with customer requirements and achieve cost and delivery expectations. The role involves conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for product defects. Additionally, the engineer will perform internal quality audits and participate in new product development and failure investigations, with a focus on Lean Manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement product-specific quality programs to meet customer requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product defects.
- Perform internal quality audits to ensure compliance.
- Participate in new product development and failure investigations.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Interface with production-related personnel, including operators, quality engineers, inspectors, shop floor supervisors, program managers, project engineers, and design engineers.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers concerning program quality requirements.
- Quality engineering and quality assurance experience.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience with AS9100 standards.
- Knowledge of Mil-Std and NASA Std.
- Ability to manage non‑conformance reports.
- Familiarity with quality management systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Aerospace experience, particularly with satellites and launch vehicles.
This position is situated in both office and manufacturing environments, requiring interaction with various technologies and equipment typical of these settings.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 – $70.00/hr.
