We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our Finance team during an exciting period of company growth. This is a newly created role designed to support the expanding accounting needs of the business.
This position is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys owning processes, keeping financial records accurate, and contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll work closely with our VP of Finance and play an important role in maintaining strong financial operations across the organization.
What You'll DoAs our Staff Accountant, you'll help support the day-to-day accounting operations that keep our business running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions in accordance with accounting policies
- Support financial reporting and maintain supporting documentation
- Review, code, and post vendor invoices
- Maintain vendor records and assist with vendor setup and updates
- Ensure invoices follow company procedures and approval processes
- Reconcile credit card payments and transactions
- Process and track customer refunds
- Support creation of term invoices and aged accounts receivable collections
- Assist with payment reclassification and transaction review
- Record accounting activity within Net Suite
- Track channel-related expenses and support expense allocations
- Assist with process improvements and documentation
- Support ad hoc finance and accounting projects as needed
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Experience working with ERP systems (Net Suite strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with accounts payable and general accounting processes
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Reliable, detail-focused, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- E-commerce or payment processing environments
- Manufacturing accounting
- Systems such as Net Suite, Square, and Avalara
- Vendor and cross-functional team collaboration
This position operates in a professional onsite office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment.
