Location: New Orleans
entry level administrative and operational work at the trainee level, on an assigned shift at the armstrong international airport. The role performs assignments designed to further develop management skills required to perform a variety of airport management activities. Assignments vary in nature and increase in difficulty, with the objective of the employee advancing to higher‑level airport administrative positions. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior.
Employees in this class may participate in monitoring airfield, terminal, landside operations, security, safety, ground transportation, and other activities related to the welfare of passengers, airlines, tenants, and the general public.
rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
qualifications- graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in aviation management, aviation technology, airport management, or a closely related field.
- a valid driver’s license.
applicants must be eligible for coverage under the airport’s auto liability insurance policy. Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and driver’s license claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification.
additional requirements- all applicants must pass federal background checks.
- this position requires a one‑year probationary period.
- applicants must provide original documents of qualifying credentials before the start date.
