Position Title: Fleet Captain/Pilot
Reports To: Port Captain
Division: Gulf Inland
Locations: St. Rose, Baton Rouge, Laplace, Donaldsonville, Louisiana
Pay: $85,000 - $120,000 per year
OverviewUnited Trades of America seeks Fleet Captains/Pilots for our fleeting locations, offering a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation with 12-hour shifts (one week nights, one week days).
Responsibilities- Ensure safe and efficient vessel and crew operations.
- Enforce company policies and report any violations.
- Conduct monthly safety drills and instruct crew on job performance.
- Manage crew performance, vessel budget, and log/report requirements.
- Prepare barges for delivery to local customers.
- USCG Master of Towing Vessels license required.
- Must meet USCG physical standards and maintain a valid license.
- Ability to climb stairs and work long hours.
- Must have active TWIC and reliable transportation.
