Wheelhouse Captain (Offshore)

United Trades of America is seeking experienced Wheelhouse Captains for offshore work. Captains are responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the vessel, crew, and tow, ensuring all activities meet company policies and regulatory standards.

• Operate and manage vessel and crew, enforcing safety and company policies
• Report policy violations and conduct safety drills and meetings
• Ensure proper crew training and performance monitoring
• Serve as Vessel Security Officer, oversee cargo safety, and enforce Crew Endurance Management
• Supervise crew, manage budget, and maintain accurate log entries

• Valid USCG Master of Towing Vessels license (Near Coastal or Oceans preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in dredge support, anchor handling, and barge towing
• Valid TWIC, USCG physical clearance, and driver's license
• Ability to climb, stand/sit for long periods, and travel to work sites

• 28 days on / 14 days off rotation
• Availability for weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
