Position
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is responsible for performing maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations of Breeze aircraft, including troubleshooting, run-up and taxi procedures, and signing mechanical flight releases. The AMT reports to a Line Maintenance Supervisor and carries out instructions as assigned in accordance with FAA regulations and Breeze policy and procedures. As certified AMTs, you support the safety of Breeze Team Members and Guests and the airworthiness of our fleet.
Location and Pay
This position is located in New Orleans, LA. The starting pay range is between $30.50 and $37.00 hourly with a $2.00 per hour midnight shift differential when working from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Pay is based on experience per Breeze’s established criteria.
Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned maintenance duties in accordance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
- Be responsible and accountable for all work performed
- Complete Breeze forms on all work assigned and performed
- Properly handle all parts, units, assemblies, and aircraft during repair processes
- Maintain current documentation for open discrepancies and completed corrective actions
- Complete all required documentation for maintenance work or inspections
- Submit personal OJT Task Cards on time and accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean, and operative work area and account for all tools at task completion
- Care for and use tooling and equipment used for aircraft maintenance
- Notify the Maintenance Supervisor and appropriate Team Members of any condition affecting airworthiness
- Maintain a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, or Repairman Certificate, available for inspection by FAA, NTSB, or Breeze leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Leadership, MOC, and/or DOM

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid passport with no travel restrictions
- Authorization to work in the US as defined by law
- Ability to travel unrestricted to and from the United States
- Willingness to work all shifts to support a 24/7 operation
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time
- Ability to work with other departments as needed
- Pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
- Pass a TSA fingerprint-based background check and Breeze background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding and working knowledge of FAA regulations including FAR part 121 operations
- Experience maintaining Embraer E-Jet and/or Airbus A220 family aircraft
- Familiar with airline Maintenance Information System (MIS) such as TRAX
- Degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance or Business Interpretation (degree preferred)
