Join Our Mission: A&P Mechanics/IA Needed

About SOAR: SOAR (Mission Aviation Readiness Program) is dedicated to preparing mission candidates with essential skills needed for serving in mission aviation. Our mission is to support sending agencies by training individuals to fly and maintain small aircraft, all for the advancement of the Gospel. We maintain, repair, and modify our aircraft fleet to ensure they are ready for training specifically for mission aviation.

In addition to maintaining our fleet, we operate an aviation maintenance center at Bolivar Municipal Airport, providing additional hands‑on production maintenance experience for our mission candidates.

Position: A&P Mechanic/IA

We are actively seeking two faith-supported or seconded missionaries to join our team as a full‑time A&P Mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA). This role is crucial in meeting the growing demands of (1) SOAR’s readiness program, ensuring the readiness of our candidates and safety of our aircraft, enabling us to fulfill our mission effectively, and (2) our maintenance customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on small aircraft
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with mission candidates and other team members to ensure all SOAR mission candidates are well‑trained and ready
Qualifications
  • A&P mechanic (Airframe and Powerplant)
  • IA (Inspection Authorization)
  • Strong commitment to faith and mission work
  • Desire to invest in the next generation, preparing them to serve in mission aviation
  • Experience in aviation maintenance and a passion for supporting mission work
