As a Senior Software Engineer with the Intelligent Solutions Group in Urbandale, Iowa, or Chicago, IL you will serve as the technical lead for a team of dedicated developers, managing the design, development, testing, and integration of highly complex applications within the License Sales and Management e-commerce platform. Our team thrives in a collaborative and transparent setting, utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver solutions efficiently and independently.

Additionally, you will:

• Influence overall product development strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with other teams to help drive alignment and understanding of requirements and dependencies.
• Interface regularly with our customers to ensure you are producing technical solutions that meet their needs.
• Provide technical expertise to define and refine features in preparation for the team.
• Pair frequently and provide technical guidance and coaching with junior members of the team.
• Establish a culture of software crafting best practices in your team, including Test Automation, and CI/CD.
• Work with individuals on your team to create and enforce coding standards, workflow, or tool standards.
• Collaborate with Staff Developers and other teams on new technologies and technical thought leadership.
• Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, demos, retrospectives, and hackathons.

At this level, you should have professional experience as an outstanding individual developer applying solid development practices. Here's what that looks like:

• Experience in application development leveraging Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience in roles that required strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in roles that required strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with building UI and REST APIs using Java, JavaScript, React.js, or Node.js.
• Experience with TDD, Refactoring, Pair Programming, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Dev Ops tools and technologies such as Git Hub Actions and Datadog.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline.
