Senior Golang Engineer Europe

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a global leader in the meal kit delivery industry that helps millions of customers cook healthy, homemade meals without the stress of meal planning or grocery shopping.

As part of Zoolatech’s distributed engineering team, you will join the Search & Personalization domain, working on solutions that shape how customers discover products and experience the platform. This area plays a key role in improving engagement by delivering relevant search results, smart recommendations, and personalized user journeys.

The project directly influences customer satisfaction and retention across multiple markets. You will collaborate in a cross‑functional environment alongside product, frontend, and data teams, contributing to scalable backend services running in a modern cloud‑native ecosystem.

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate scalable backend microservices in a cloud‑native environment.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of services, from architecture and implementation to monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to event‑driven systems using modern messaging and streaming technologies.
• Apply Dev Ops best practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and observability.
• Collaborate as a proactive, solution‑oriented member of an autonomous, cross‑functional agile team.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Frontend Engineers, Designers, and Data/BI teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Develop a strong understanding of the platform’s core architecture and business domain.
• Share knowledge, support peers, and contribute to engineering excellence within the team.
• Work with modern technologies such as Go, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud tooling.

• Strong background in backend development, with a focus on microservices and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to build event‑driven architectures using messaging technologies such as Rabbit
  
  MQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS/SNS.
• Proficiency in Go.
• Practical knowledge of Docker, container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and CI/CD implementation.
• Solid foundation in testing practices, including both unit and end‑to‑end testing.
• Deep understanding of relational databases.
• Familiarity with Mongo
  
  DB, Elasticsearch, and/or Graph
  
  QL is a plus; experience with JVM languages is a plus.
