Location: New Orleans
Highly responsible professional and supervisory work overseeing the social services provided to individuals, families, and groups in a community, institutional, clinical and/or home setting; related work as required.
Qualifications- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Sociology, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Human Development and Family Studies or a related field from an accredited college or university.*
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Sociology, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Human Development and Family Studies or a related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience providing social services.
- A Master's Degree is preferred.
- Some positions may require registration with the Louisiana State Board of Social Worker Examiners as a Registered Social Worker (RSW).
- Positions at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center require a one (1) year probationary period.

Domicile RequirementsDomicile requirements are currently waived for the purpose of application. However, all new full‑time employees hired into this classification on or after January 1, 2013 must be domiciled in Orleans Parish within 180 days of hire. Airport and public safety employees are excluded from this provision. Additional exceptions to the domicile requirement may be made on a case‑by‑case basis.
