Social Services Worker, Senior; Class Code 6034

Highly responsible professional and supervisory work overseeing the social services provided to individuals, families, and groups in a community, institutional, clinical and/or home setting; related work as required.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Sociology, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Human Development and Family Studies or a related field from an accredited college or university.*
• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Sociology, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Human Development and Family Studies or a related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience providing social services.
• A Master's Degree is preferred.
• Some positions may require registration with the Louisiana State Board of Social Worker Examiners as a Registered Social Worker (RSW).
• Positions at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center require a one (1) year probationary period.
