Cable Technician II

We are hiring an experienced Cable Technician II to install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who wants steady work, growth opportunities, and a strong team environment.

• Install and terminate CAT3 and CAT5 cabling, jacks, faceplates, and surface‑mount boxes
• Build and organize telecom closets including racks, patch panels, fiber hardware, and grounding
• Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using toners, meters, and continuity tools
• Identify active voice and data circuits
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
• Follow all safety and quality standards

• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
• Ability to work on ladders, in ceilings, and in confined spaces
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
• Ability to distinguish cable colors and read small print
• Reliable attendance and a professional attitude
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
