Job Description:
The Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer’s vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. The Auto Body Technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles and helps achieve the facility KPIs while representing the brand with professionalism.
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates for customers, and use tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers) to repair vehicle sections.
- Hammer out dents and dents; apply filler resins when needed.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
- Weld or attach parts and prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
- Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
- Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with odors present.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Compensation$22 - $30 / Hour Flat Rate
Flat Rate Compensation is a performance-based structure tied to booked hours. If total compensation falls below minimum wage in a pay period, hours will be guaranteed at the applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater. Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
Supplemental Pay: This position may be eligible for bonuses tied to individual or business initiatives.
