DIESEL SERVICE TECHNICIANJOB DESCRIPTION
The Diesel Service Technician will ensure the performance and maintenance of Bobcat machinery and other engine powered equipment for Automated Waste Systems in a climate-controlled environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the construction & agriculture industries and will enjoy working independently but still in a team environment. Job Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on construction or agriculture equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry. For example:
Hydraulics, electrical, etc. - Work overtime as workload dictates.
- Proactively maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Work independently as well as part of a team.
- Committed to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work well without supervision.

- Two-year associate degree in related field preferred or equivalent applicable experience.
- Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds at times.
- CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
- Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.
- Must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
Automated Waste Systems opened on January 2, 2002. Our primary focus was with GEA Houle manure handling equipment, but have since added Bobcat, Bazooka Farmstar, Artex, Doda, Nuhn, Kifco,McLanahan, Waste Away, T-L Irrigation equipment, Vertical Till Injector, Mensch,DSI (Dietrich Slurry Injection), and Zimmerman to make AWS one of the area’s most knowledgeable and experienced dealers in manure handling.
We offer a complete line of liquid and dry manure handling products, from scrapersystems in dairy barns, to direct inject hose systems, to manure tanks andspreaders to apply the manure.
