What You Will Do
  • Work with a variety of customers in hospitality and other commercial businesses to identify and solve pest problems.
  • Keep abreast of Ecolab’s product/service offerings and to enhance service and sales of pest prevention/elimination solutions.
  • Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues; use gas monitoring equipment during fumigations.
  • Assist with the complete fumigation process, including sealing, tarping, introduction of fumigant, fume readings, and aerating/de‑gassing facilities.
  • Read, understand, and follow labels and MSDS forms for hazardous chemicals used during services.
  • Inspect, maintain, and properly use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow proper safety protocols including OSHA and customer‑specified guidelines.
  • Use equipment involved in fumigation management services, including electronic devices for recording and reporting data.
Position Details

As an industry leader, Ecolab offers a world‑class training program. During the program you will travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Saint Paul, Minnesota for one of the seven weeks, while the remaining weeks are in‑field training. Ecolab will arrange and pay for travel and certain related expenses.

This field‑based position may require travel to New Orleans, Louisiana and surrounding areas. The shift schedule is primarily combination shift, Monday–Friday.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of work or military experience.
  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Willingness to be on‑call during off‑work hours and weekends.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts as needed and anticipate 50%+ overnight travel during peak season.
  • Ability to understand and interpret English labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous chemicals.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card, a CDL with Hazmat endorsement, and required pest certifications, fumigation licensing, or business licensing as per state/local law.
  • Will undergo a background check and drug test including THC for all candidates who receive a job offer.

Physical Demands
  • Wearing respirator or Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus.
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 70 pounds chest high.
  • Working in confined spaces, damp/dusty locations, extreme temperatures, heights up to 150 feet; use of ladders, scissor lifts, or aerial boom lifts.
  • Lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, climbing, using hands/fingers,, walking, standing, talking, hearing.
  • Driving a company vehicle as required; pre‑employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be performed.
