Job DescriptionWe are hiring for the 2026 Mardi Gras Season. This coverage is additional at established sites in the Greater New Orleans area.

Temporary for Mardi Gras Season - Starting Pay: $15.00 / hr / pays weekly
- Position:
Security Officer - Shifts:
All shift available (Morning, mid shift, and overnight) - Temporary Position for Mardi Gras Season
- Coverage locations:
Near Parade routes, Hotels, Private Businesses, Venues, Superdome, Restaurants, Corporate/Commercial Properties, Healthcare facilities, Retail, Residential Communities, etc. - We will be hiring on-the-spot.
- Orientation must be completed prior to February 6, 2026 to be eligible.
- Interview Dates:
January 5,7,12,13,14,15,16,19,21,26,28. Interviews are conducted only on these specific days. - Interview location: 531 Lyons St New Orleans, LA 70115 (VFW Hall – sits on the corner). 10am-2pm.
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- Ability to stand/walk/foot patrol for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors in the elements (as needed).
- Must be able to pass a background screen.
- Have physical state driver license.
- Have physical social security card.
