This job answers internal/external calls for Security Operations, which average 2-3,000 transactions daily. It answers routine and emergency calls for security assistance while obtaining all necessary information required while dispatching security officers to calls for service, as well as making notifications to on‑duty supervisors. It responds to all emergency situations, all types of Hospital/Clinic codes at any given time, monitors Hospital/Clinic video screens, maintains a security log and all associated computer entries;
handles all call and on‑call for security and emergency preparedness for main campus and regional clinics as well as notifications for security incidents and emergency preparedness issues.

EducationRequired – High School diploma or equivalent
Work ExperienceRequired – 1 year experience as a telephone operator, dispatcher or related experience
CertificationsRequired – International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire

- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information. Must be proficient with Windows‑style applications and keyboard.

- Consistently answers calls using standard company greeting.
- Solicits and documents information needed from callers to determine level of security assistance and then dispatches officers to assist callers.
- Responds to all codes/notifications during emergency incidents.
