* Position Summary:

** The Part-Time Security Guard plays an important role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for Son of a Saint’s staff, mentees, mentors, and visitors. The Security Guard will monitor the premises during afternoon and early evening hours, assist with safety protocols, and support the organization’s commitment to providing a secure space for all program activities.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Monitor entry and exit points to ensure the safety of staff, mentees, and visitors.
* Patrol the building and surrounding areas during shift hours to identify and address potential safety concerns.
* Provide a visible security presence during after-school and evening programming.
* Report any incidents, safety hazards, or unusual activity to the Director of Operations.
* Assist with parking management and guest access during events or busy times.
* Respond calmly and professionally to emergencies or conflicts.
* Support staff in enforcing organization policies and maintaining a positive, respectful atmosphere.

* Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with youth and adults.
* Dependable, observant, and able to remain alert during evening hours.
* Security certification is not required but is encouraged.
* Must pass a background check.
