Imperial Trading Co., LLC is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Food Service Sales Consultant to join the New Orleans, LA team. Working in and adjacent to the South Louisiana and Mississippi region
, the consultant will focus on specific convenience store chains as well as new business, collaborating with multiple departments and company locations. This role drives revenue growth within the wholesale trade sector by establishing and nurturing relationships with food service clients, understanding client needs, and providing tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Summary of Duties: With a primary focus on Food Service Sales, the employee must plan, organize and effectively execute sales strategies for assigned accounts consistent with current company sales initiatives while achieving sales growth and profitability objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the food service or wholesale trade industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CRM software and/or sales analytics tools.
- Knowledge of food service industry trends and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain proficiency with current computer technology and all hardware and software to perform duties.
- Effectively resolve all customer issues and opportunities, notifying supervisor and relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Create and implement business development initiatives within assigned accounts as per company directives.
- Conduct outside sales of food service-related programs and equipment, including installation of equipment as necessary.
- Meet with customers to discuss profitability opportunities with current and new food programs.
- Train customers on food service programs.
- Assist the credit department with collections and related accounts receivable issues.
- Work with retail service representatives or sales admin personnel to resolve account issues.
- Present and add new products, programs and promotions on a regular basis, meeting sales and profit objectives; close retail distribution voids on priority products and programs; maintain accurate sales forecasting.
- Identify, analyze and provide written business plans to supervisor on under-performing sales and profit accounts; monitor account sales and profit compliance to goals; recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure efficient and timely responses to manage changes in customer payments that may negatively affect accounts receivable.
- Notify supervisor and management of any issues regarding account pricing or competitive proposals.
- Create and maintain a plan for regular visits at customer headquarters, chain store locations and independent accounts, building relationships with decision makers and store level management.
- Attend sales meetings and company functions.
- Work away from company premises as regularly required.
- Perform all duties detailed in the Business Development Job Description.
- Report to work, meetings and scheduled business affairs on time, completing tasks competently.
Physical Demands: The work requires light physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, handling objects, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
Work Environment: The environment involves occasional outdoor weather and wet, humid conditions. Noise level is moderate.
