This full-time role is based in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a Field Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include building relationships with current and potential clients, driving sales growth, and promoting Slap Ya Mama products to retailers, distributors, restaurants and other partners. Additional duties will consist of preparing and delivering compelling presentations, tracking sales performance, and identifying new business opportunities. The role also involves traveling to meet with clients as required, traveling to national and international food shows and contributing to sales strategies to expand market reach.
CoreResponsibilities Local & Regional Sales Execution
- Open and manage relationships with independent retailers and restaurants
- Support regional distributor sales efforts and local sell‑through
- Conduct store visits to check placement, pricing, and merchandising
- Identify new local sales opportunities and report them to Sales Director
- Attend trade shows, demos, tastings, and sampling events
- Represent the brand professionally at events
- Collect leads, feedback, and competitive insights
- Support Sales Director before, during, and after shows
- Work alongside brokers to support local execution
- Follow up on broker‑led meetings and opportunities
- Assist with regional promotions and sell‑in initiatives
- Serve as a local point of contact when appropriate
- Provide real‑time feedback on:
- Product performance
- Competitive activity
- Customer objections
- Share insights with:
Sales Director & Marketing team
- Sales and negotiation skills, with experience in customer relationship management and meeting sales targets
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in sales software, CRM tools, and basic computer skills
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented approach
- Previous experience in food or consumer goods sales is a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
