SUMMARY

A Food and Beverage employee who clears away dirty dishes, sets tables, and serves as an assistant to a waiter or waitress with established procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Report to supervisor on duty for daily assignments
  • Transports all dirty dishes, glassware, trays, silverware and or bus carts and tubs into kitchen area
  • Preforms all table clearing methods effective and efficiently
  • Sets table trays, caddies and or condiments to proper form after clearing and wiping table tops
  • Assist host, cashier and or bartender if needed to escort and sit guest when needed
  • Transport and stock glassware to designated area
  • Transport all silverware and or supplies to designated area
  • Assist waiter, waitress, cashier and or host to preform necessary side work when needed.
  • Unload all items delivered to buffet or bar when needed
  • Clean front of house floors, counters, and cabinets.
  • Clean front of house tables, chairs, walls and bases
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of front of house bar or buffet
  • Maintains all proper food safe guidelines in all areas
  • Assist waiter and or waitress in preparation of drinks as necessary
  • Preforms necessary side work, pre shift work and shift completion work
  • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures
  • Ensure safety, cleanliness and customer satisfaction
  • Promotes Positive Customer relations, greets guests and creates friendly atmosphere
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate with staff and guest verbally in English
  • Skills in establishing and maintain effective working relationship with staff
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Minimum one year experience of hospitality industry experience in a high volume-high operation. (Casino/Restaurant experience preferred)
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal and written format.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and the tribal gaming commission licensing.
  • Tribal preference.

EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • Minimum one year experience of hospitality industry experience in a high volume-high operation. (Casino/Restaurant experience preferred)
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Requires being mobile 100% of time
  • May work in dimly lit/Smokey area.
  • Heavy Lifting for delivery and transport
  • Use of industrial cleaning products
  • Must be able to tolerate change in temperatures while in cooler or freezer areas
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to tolerate extensive background noises and still maintain calmness and courteousness.
  • Required to lift/push or pull minimum of 25lbs. and stand to 100+lbs with help of dolly or cart.
  • Requires regular and consistent attendance
  • Work area may be small with heavy production and high volume of people.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts are required.
  • Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
