Responsibilities
The primary duties of the post‑doctoral research fellow will include planning, coordinating and performing scientific experiments in the field of glucose homeostasis with a focus on islet biology and therapeutic developments such as islet transplantation and novel pharmacotherapy for diabetes. The fellow will also be expected to accurately record research data in a laboratory notebook, maintain a computer Excel database, analyze, plot and interpret research data, produce data reports for the principal investigator, and prepare presentations and abstracts for scientific meetings.
The research fellow will also prepare figures, write, and edit their publications.
- PhD, MD, or both required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical analysis is required.
- Experience in the use of animals in research is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and statistical software is required.
