Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology / Huang Lab
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hai Huang in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology and the Brain Institute at Tulane University. The program focuses on understanding the synaptic, neuronal, and circuit mechanisms that support reliable and precise auditory information processing, and on how hearing loss and neurological disorders affect these functions. Techniques used include ex vivo and in vivo electrophysiology, two‑photon imaging, computational modeling, molecular biology, and animal models.
Responsibilities- Design and perform experiments on cellular neurophysiology in the auditory system.
- Collect and analyze data using electrophysiology and imaging techniques.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Present research findings at scientific meetings.
- Strong background in neuroscience.
- Experience with electrophysiology techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research setting.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Curriculum vitae.
