Associate Analytical Technician – Plaquemine, LA

The Analytical Technician provides analytical data to support product release and process optimization. This role supports a plant MPQ (Manage Product Quality) lab.

• Perform routine and non-routine analyses on analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatography (GC), titrations, and spectrometry.
• Document, communicate, and archive results using IT software and electronic tools such as Chromatography Data Systems (Open Lab).
• Understand and execute procedures, policies, and work processes such as Environmental Health & Safety, Operating Discipline Management Systems (ODMS), quality procedures, and Analytical Work Process (AWP).
• Perform basic calibration and maintenance of analytical systems.
• Monitor analytical systems.

• High School Diploma and one or more of the following:
• Associate's degree in a science discipline or related with at least 20 hours in chemistry.
• 3+ years of relevant military experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Able to work in an empowered team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
• Legal to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

• Bachelor's degree in a science related discipline.
• Experience with electronic tools such as Chromatography Data System (Open Lab).
• Experience with analytical disciplines such as chromatography, spectroscopy, titrations, and physical property testing.

• Analytical Instrumentation Proficiency – Routine and non-routine analyses using GC, titrations, and spectrometry.
• Technical Documentation & IT Tools – Documentation and communication using Chromatography Data Systems (Open Lab) and Microsoft Office.
• Process & Safety Compliance – Execution of Environmental Health & Safety, ODMS, and AWP procedures.
• Equipment Maintenance – Calibration, maintenance, and monitoring of analytical systems.
• Teamwork & Communication – Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork in a rotating shift environment.

• Lift, push, and pull.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Stand 50% of the time.
• Walk for extended periods.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment, including respirator.
• Work in an area with hazardous materials.
