About the Position
Join Vie Med Healthcare Staffing as a Locum Nurse Practitioner at our Rural Health Clinic in Reeves, LA, and make a meaningful impact on community health while advancing your career. This vital role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality care in a rural setting, ensuring access to essential healthcare services for underserved populations. You will work closely with a dedicated team, including an IM and PC provider onsite, and have the flexibility to see patients of all ages, with pediatric support available if preferred.

The position begins on March 1, 2026, and runs for six weeks, with a competitive hourly pay rate of $90 to $100.

Required Skills:

Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana

Proven experience in primary care or family practice

Ability to manage approximately 15 patients per day efficiently

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience working in rural or underserved settings

Pediatric care experience or comfort seeing pediatric patients

Bilingual abilities (English and Spanish or other languages)

Familiarity with behavioral health and nursing home coverage

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)

At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner

Prior experience in rural healthcare environments is advantageous

Other Requirements:

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Ability to travel to and from the clinic as needed

Willingness to work Monday through Friday, with optional Saturday clinic rotation

Minimal call responsibilities, primarily for nursing home coverage and behavioral health
