• Perform triage and assess emergency cases, including obtaining vitals, medication lists, and patient history.
• Support physicians/providers during patient visits and complete related clinical orders.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR).
• Respond to phone calls from pharmacies, patients, physician offices, and other healthcare entities.
• Perform blood work and assist with Coumadin clinic duties as needed.
• Educate patients and families on diagnostic procedures and treatment plans.
• Interrogate pacemakers/defibrillators and assist in device clinics.
• Complete healthcare-related forms and assist with insurance pre-certifications.
• Help manage medical supply orders and ensure compliance with mandated clinic checks.
• Support other departments and clinics as needed.

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to cardiovascular patients.
• Ensure patient safety and continuity of care through accurate documentation.
• Facilitate smooth clinic operations by assisting with orders, procedures, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to improve patient flow and satisfaction.
• Promote CIS’s mission through flexibility, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Enhance care quality by maintaining clinical protocols and supporting risk management efforts.

• Licensed Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered state licensure.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience, preferably in cardiology.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong communication and multitasking skills in a clinical setting.
• Willing to complete CIS-assigned cardiology and EKG courses within 12 months of hire.
• Committed to continuous learning and adapting to the needs of the clinic.
