Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) River Place Behavioral Health

Are you prepared for the impact you can make as a Nurse leader in Behavioral Health? We are looking for our next Chief Nursing Officer at River Place Behavioral Health. Located in LaPlace, LA, River Place Behavioral Health provides state-of-the-art psychiatric care for adolescents and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns.

What would you do in this role?

The CNO will be a key member of the team at River Place Behavioral Health. The CNO directs, plans, coordinates, monitors, and supervises nursing and the delivery of behavioral health/nursing services. We are looking for someone that provides a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and the nursing staff.

How will we support you in this role?

Although our hospitals are free-standing and run independently, you have support from Corporate and are never alone. From day one, you will be paired with corporate recruiting to help with recruiting efforts to help bring in the best talent for your facility. You will also be paired with a Corporate Nurse leader to mentor you and support you in this role.

For those that want to continue to grow, we also offer a CEO In-Training program if you envision yourself running a hospital one day.

Responsibilities
  • Sets the vision for nursing practice in the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable and patient centered care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.
  • Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of all nursing personnel.
  • Provide clinical leadership, strategic and long-term goals for the nursing staff.
  • Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocates nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed.
  • Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrated sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
