This job oversees patient care outcomes through research‑based information to design, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, acting as a provider and manager of care at the point of care.
Education- Registered nurse diploma (required). Associate’s degree in nursing (preferred).
- 2 Years of Nursing Experience (required).
- Supervisory experience (preferred).
- Current RN license in state of practice (required).
- BLS from the American Heart Association (required).
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to move throughout the department, the hospital, and between off‑campus sites.
- Promote utilization of nursing protocols/practice guidelines based on existing evidence and support nursing research.
- Organize, plan, direct, provide and coordinate patient care within the unit.
- Manage conflict appropriately on shift and report issues to unit leadership when needed.
- Facilitate by meeting staff needs while aligning with strategic direction set by unit leadership.
- Assist leadership in identifying cost‑containment/reduction strategies.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring privacy, proper introductions, and communication style.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force; occasionally up to 100 pounds. Duties require exposure to blood, body fluid, tissue, hazardous medications, and other risks inherent to patient care. Reasonable accommodations may be made. This role works in a patient care area.
