PDM Technician

Description

The PdM Tech will be responsible for making decisions when it comes to upgrading or changing lubricant specification on equipment. The PdM Tech will be responsible for operating software and web-based programs for lubrication scheduling, oil analysis functions, and vibration analysis on equipment. The PDM Technician will also be required to follow all safety policies and perform their duty in a safe manner.

• Primarily responsible for lubricating machines and equipment
• Perform vibration analysis on running equipment, and analyze data from equipment to maintain equipment reliability
• Make or support decisions to upgrade or change lubricant specification on equipment
• Make or support mechanical modifications on equipment to facilitate safe sampling, filtration, and other proactive safety measurements
• Understanding of fundamental lubrication concepts (such as Viscosity, NLGI #’s, ISO Cleanliness Codes, Beta Filter Rating, etc.)
• Capability to operate software and web-based programs for lubrication scheduling, oil analysis functions, and vibration analysis
• Schedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysis if needed
• Perform routine preventative maintenance safely for each piece of equipment
• Inspect equipment regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, and listening for irregular noises
• Read and comply with our safety standards on work order services, modifications, or installation of machinery
• Identity and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner
• Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery
• Maintain machinery and the workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness
• Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor

• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions
• Ability to work in loud noise environments
• Ability to work in dusty environments
• Ability to work in elevated areas above 4 feet when necessary and in confined spaces
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting of up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely.
• Ability to adhere to all PPE policies

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 2-year associates degree preferred
• 2 or more years of work experience preferred in a manufacturing environment

Normal Office

Heavy work (lift 30-50 lbs.)

Light work (lift 10 lbs.)

Very heavy work (lift over 50 lbs.)

Medium work (lift 11-30 lbs.)
