Laser Operator

New Orleans, LA:
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a full-time Laser Operator to support the production of tamper-evident security seals and related security products. This role is responsible for operating laser marking and engraving equipment to apply serialized numbers, barcodes, logos, and custom identifiers onto plastic or metal security seals. Accuracy, quality control, and adherence to security protocols are critical in this position.

• Set up and operate laser marking/engraving machines for security seal production
• Program or input variable data such as serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes, and customer‑specific information
• Verify accuracy of serialized sequences and ensure no duplication or gaps
• Perform quality inspections to confirm legibility, alignment, and durability of markings
• Monitor production runs and adjust machine settings as needed
• Maintain detailed production logs and serialization records
• Follow strict chain‑of‑custody and security procedures for controlled products
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of laser equipment
• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and shipping teams
• Report equipment malfunctions or production discrepancies immediately

• High school diploma or GED
• 1–3 years of experience operating laser marking, engraving, or similar production equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sequential numbering systems
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with production software
• Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions precisely
• Understanding of quality control processes
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
