Cleaning Operative

We are looking for Cleaning Operative to join our team in a Pharmaceutical setting located in Cootehill, Co Cavan

Monday - Thursday 12:00 - 20:00
Friday 12:00 - 19:00

• Carry out industrial cleaning of production areas, equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, windows, and exterior building zones.
• Perform routine, scheduled, and deep‑clean activities according to approved SSOW/SOPs.
• Assist with sanitation processes in high‑care areas within the plant.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly in accordance with COSHH/SDS and site safety protocols.
• Operate cleaning machinery and equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers, and window‑cleaning systems.
• Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and food safety standards at all times.
• Comply with PPE requirements, access controls, and isolation procedures.
• Accurately complete checklists, cleaning logs, and required documentation.
• Report hazards, equipment faults, and near misses promptly.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and hygiene reviews as needed.
• Maintain a professional, positive attitude in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions, cleaning schedules, and safety procedures accurately.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning processes and hygiene principles.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience.
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or hygiene standards (training available).
