Overview

Fabrication Specialist — New Orleans, LA — 6 Months — Shift Timings: 2.00 PM - 10:30 PM — Pay Rate: $30.00/hr - $34.55/hr

• Performs machine set-up, machining, wiring, electrical set up and checks. .
• Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
• Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
• Performs basic mechanical and electrical preparation tasks and verification.
• Looking for resources with basic mechanical experience and electrical experience.
• These resources will be working with various tools including power drills, adhesive, wrenches, etc.
• The team will train these resources within the areas they will be working on, training can last up to 3-4 weeks depending on the level of experience they are coming in with.

• Understanding of mechanical and electrical methods/workings with a technical background (doesn,t need to have multiple years of experience just an understanding and eagerness to work within this field)
• Weld experience is a must, looking for friction stir experience as well as mechanical experience.
• Need to be technically savvy and have experience working with tools, machines, wires, and adhesive
• Adaptable, flexible, eager to learn
• Electrical (harnesses stripping wire repin things Tork wrenches power screwdrivers hardware shielded wires
• Mechanical (drill guns, drilling through hardware, putting in brackets)

• Safety glasses, may have to get a mask requirement (will be determined post start based on what area they are working in)
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
• Qualify to wear a harness for fall protection (350 lbs weight restriction for harnesses)

• High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
