Job Description:
Soft Craft Planner (SAP Specialist)
The Soft Craft Planner is responsible for the detailed planning, estimating, and scheduling of all scaffolding, insulation, and painting requirements. Using SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), you will translate field needs into actionable work orders, ensuring all materials and manpower are ready before a job begins.
Core Responsibilities- Work Order Management: Utilize SAP to create, review, and plan work orders. You will ensure that every task has a clear scope, necessary permits, and technical specifications.
- Resource Estimation: Calculate the exact requirements for soft crafts (e.g., square footage for painting, linear feet for insulation, or man-hours/tonnage for scaffolding).
- Material Procurement: Use SAP to check inventory, create Purchase Requisition s (PRs), and track deliveries of specialty coatings or insulating materials.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Liaise between the operations team and third-party contractors to integrate soft craft activities into the broader master schedule.
- Cost Control: Monitor "Actual vs. Estimated" costs within SAP to ensure projects remain within the allocated budget.
