Working hands‑on with both municipal and industrial fire departments, the Ferrara/KME team thrives on diagnosing departments' current apparatus limitations and response needs to custom design the perfect fire apparatus solution that will stand the test of time. • Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays, diodes and harnesses in a variety of assemblies and chassis units for all types of electronic and electromechanical products.
• Responsible for mechanical assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, AC/DC drives, motors, and other devices.
• Design and fabricate electrical boxes for installation of components.
• Drill, edge‑fill, fit and assemble a variety of detail parts and assemblies, including cutting openings in bodies to accommodate wire and components, using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect for proper installations and integrity.
• Ability to use general and precision tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Must read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain necessary documentation and records.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Perform assembly operations on structural and mechanical sub‑assemblies, equipment and accessories.
• Perform other work as assigned.

• Must possess a HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be able to use a tape measure.
• Attention to detail; strong work ethic; team player.
• Must be able to climb, twist, bend and stoop.
• Must have use of hands and be able to work overhead.
• Must be able to stand, squat and grasp.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
