Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and keep production running smoothly at our mill operation in Plain Dealing, LA. This full-time, on-site role is perfect for someone with strong technical troubleshooting skills and proven leadership experience in manufacturing or sawmill environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians across shifts.

• Assign and prioritize daily maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to reduce downtime.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.

• Enforce all safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.

• Maintain accurate records in a CMMS and oversee spare parts inventory.

• Partner with production teams to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime.

• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or sawmill environment.

• At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Familiarity with CMMS, welding, fabrication, and PLCs a plus.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk/stand for extended periods, and respond quickly to breakdowns.

• Comfortable working in a mill environment with dust, noise, heat, and heavy equipment.

• Flexibility for weekend, evening, or on-call availability when needed.
