About the OpportunityThe Partnerships Lead will lead and manage the Cancer Institute NSW strategic partnership program by coordinating the engagement process, ensuring strategic alignment with organisational priorities and policies, to strengthen research and innovation across NSW. This role will also develop, execute and lead activities to build research partnership capability and capacity at the Cancer Institute NSW.

- Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent, and relevant professional experience and training.
- Demonstrated expert understanding of the NSW and national cancer research sector.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills with great attention to detail and demonstrated expertise of leadership within an assessment and compliance environment.
- Experience in research management and managing partnerships across a range of stakeholders.
- Strong communications, qualitative and analytical skills.
- Experience managing a small team.

- Describe your experience where you had to develop or facilitate research relationships between internal and external stakeholders (for e.g academic institutions, industry partners or government agencies). In your response, please articulate the overall purpose or goal of the service, how you engaged with key stakeholders, what strategies you used to ensure alignment with diverse partners, the tools or frameworks you used to lead and support your team effectively, any challenges you encountered, and any lessons learned.
- How would you approach building trust and effective relationships with staff you supervise to encourage an understanding of key research conduct principles, critical thinking and independence in staff who facilitate a collaborative research service? What key strategies would you employ?
