Compensation

Salary: $52,000 - $54,000 / year

Pay Grade: 10

Job Summary

Environmental Services Manager in Training (MIT) is a development program designed to prepare candidates for future leadership roles within the support services team. The MIT program combines hands‑on on‑site learning with Compass Group’s Accelerated Manager Program (AMP) to develop operational, safety, quality control, training, payroll, and profit & loss management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day‑to‑day environmental services operations.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Drive profit and loss management, inventory, and cash handling.
  • Plan, coach, and mentor staff on operational, safety, and training best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree required; degree received by June 2026 or prior.
  • One year of customer service or related work or internship experience preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate for the right role or advancement opportunity.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including profit and loss management, inventory, and cash handling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations.
  • Basic knowledge of operating and maintenance instructions, safety regulations, codes and use of departmental policy and procedure manuals.
  • Mechanical inclination.
  • Competency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Driver’s License required for transportation roles.
