Summary

Tulane’s Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, one of the nation’s most respected public health institutions, seeks a dynamic Senior Program Manager to lead its graduate and professional programs in Health Policy and Management (HPM). This is a leadership role for an experienced academic manager who thrives at the intersection of operations and student success. Reporting directly to the Department Chair, this individual manages a diverse portfolio of degree programs, including MPH, MHA (on-campus and online), PhD, international and executive programs, and joint and dual degrees.

This is a fully on-campus position in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • In-depth understanding of financial principles, including budgetary and fiscal management
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
  • Demonstrated ability to interact well with diverse groups of people
  • Proficiency with a variety of management software including database applications
Required

Education and/or Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field, and two years of experience in a progressively responsible administrative or managerial position OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree and five years of experience, or high school diploma and nine years experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in academic programming
Compensation Information

This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 26.
