Job Description

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Outsourced Accounting practice focused on special projects. This team helps our clients transform their organizations with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs. Please note that this is a hybrid position, where you would be expected to go to our local office or client location, as needed.

You must be available to work Eastern and/or Central time zones.

What work you will be responsible for
  • Evaluate client needs related to accounting and finance processes and assess accounting function to recommend project approaches. Contribute to the proposal development process on outsourced controller/CFO projects and other special projects.
  • Participate in engagement planning and budgeting and definition of content and deliverables while managing controls and risk.
  • Manage and deliver on outsourced controller/CFO projects, including overseeing client’s day‑to‑day accounting function (accounts receivable and payable, remitting payments). Manage month‑end closing process and prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Research technical accounting issues as appropriate; formulate resolution of issues identified through the research process.
  • Manage special projects related to client accounting functions, including evaluating, recommending and implementing improvements to internal accounting processes and controls.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with leadership to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Identify client challenges and manage day‑to‑day relationships.
  • Perform activities necessary to client engagements: maintain staffing levels, schedule internal and external activities, create and manage project budgets, ensure projects come in on or under approved budget.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the correlation between Outsourced Accounting Services and other Eisner Amper service offerings (e.g., tax, audit, consulting). Develop multi‑focused solutions for our clients.
  • Direct engagements and special assignments, supervising multiple engagements simultaneously and ensuring assignments are accomplished by the budgeted time.
  • Deliver client services including onsite and remote consultation, development and implementation of deliverables, training and workshop materials, maintenance of project timelines, monthly budgets and client billing activities.
  • Interact regularly with other consulting service line leaders and team members, building and maintaining relationships across service lines and locations.
  • Work closely with management to lead and participate in practice development activities.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, as needed.
