Job Title: Short-Arc (GMAW) Tack Welder
Location: Lockport, LA
Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a Short
-Arc (GMAW) Tack Welder provides necessary tools a ship fitter and assists as directed to include tacking, grinding, or other assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with basic welding or fitting processes.
- Enters and moves through manholes to reach and work in internally confined spaces.
- Provides ship fitter with assistance whenever deemed necessary.
- Provides fire watch duties.
- Must be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces.
- Must be able to work/climb in elevations greater than 5'.
- Minimum of three (3) months of tack welding experience.
- Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on Short Arc (GMAW) Tacker T-join test in the vertical and overhead positions with the vertical position tack welded with downhill progression.
