SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general condition of the property, handling electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks, completing maintenance request work orders promptly, and participating in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms. This position is eligible for a $500 sign‑on bonus.
Job Responsibilities- Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
- Complete work orders promptly, including on‑call requests
- Resolve maintenance issues to prevent recurrence
- Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on‑site
- Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective action
- Partner with external vendors, contractors, and team members on special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- HVAC certification preferred
- Residential/apartment maintenance experience preferred
- General residential maintenance skills – A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, and finishing (including Porter duties) required
- Ability to work on‑call maintenance shifts
- Self‑starter, proactive, works independently
- Ability to control inventory and order as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or greater at a time
- Must be able to cover a variety of properties with stairs and conduct tours in various weather conditions
