Clayton County is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Maintenance Worker. Clayton County is located in beautiful Northeast Iowa.

Under general supervision, performs skilled and unskilled work in the inspection, maintenance, and construction of the Secondary Road System. This position is a limited appointment of up to 1,000 hours and reports to the Foreman and/or Maintenance Supervisor. This position requires a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), a valid Class C Driver’s License and must be insurable under the County Insurance Policy.

• have experience with mowing, tree trimming and removal, debris removal etc.
• be flexible and willing to assist with various projects of the Secondary Roads Department.
• the ability to communicate and work with the public in a courteous and effective manner.
• the ability to take direction well and work independently.
• general knowledge of Clayton County.
