Play Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper

Overview

Valiant is looking for a Mechanic Helper to join our team!

• Assists the Role Play Motor Pool Coordinator in all actions concerning the maintenance, use, service, and accountability of over 150 GFE vehicles monthly.
• Performs a variety of tasks such as washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles.
• Changes and repairs flat tires, replaces burned out light bulbs, ensures proper fluid levels are maintained.
• Loads, unloads, and stores automotive parts and supplies.
• Maintains work areas and motor pool.
• Supervises other employees with proper preventive maintenance checks and services.
• Routinely uses military forms and military maps.
• Frequently uses mobile radio communications.
• Other duties as required consistent with this occupational specialty.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High School diploma or equivalent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Functional abilities with automotive repairs and services.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be available to work irregular hours and weekends on a routine and consistent basis.
• Individual must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.

DESIRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or assistant or previous Military experience working in battalion-size (or equivalent) motor pool and maintenance operation.

• Must be able to repeatedly lift heavy or bulky objects up to 25 lbs.
• Must be in good physical condition capable of prolonged standing and walking.
