Location: New Roads

This role is responsible for leading and coordinating key supply chain functions including production planning, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and financial forecasting. The objective is to control costs, improve service levels, enhance operational accuracy, and maintain safety standards. The position evaluates and refines existing processes to support efficient product distribution and oversees the movement, storage, and management of inventory.

The successful candidate must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze demand forecasts and develop supply plans to ensure product and material availability
  • Monitor forecasts and performance targets to assess impact on supply chain activities
  • Establish and track supply chain performance metrics including cost, quality, and service levels
  • Evaluate inventory levels to improve turns, reduce waste, and enhance customer service
  • Develop and align supply chain processes with cross-functional partners including sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time material delivery
  • Implement and improve supply chain systems and processes
  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery expectations are met
  • Support engineering changes, product line expansions, and new product introductions to ensure seamless material and production transitions
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve operational objectives
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and distribution principles
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and resource allocation practices
  • Demonstrated ability in complex problem solving and analytical decision making
  • Understanding of customer service processes and quality standards
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve cross-functional conflicts
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Strong ERP/MRP systems knowledge
  • Solid understanding of inventory management, manufacturing planning, demand planning, and replenishment processes
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
