Location: New Orleans

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION

All Points is seeking a dedicated IT Specialist to join our team at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. Primary responsibilities include ensuring timely and high-quality service to Boeing end users at MAF, with potential temporary support at the Stennis Space Center.

This position operates on an 18-hour, 7-day/week schedule. It is slated for the 1st shift, but employees may occasionally support other shifts or days.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Tier 2 IT support, answering calls/emails to provide end‑user troubleshooting and problem solving (hands‑on and remote) including device configuration, general network and VPN connections to the Boeing network. Responsible for creating, updating, and closing tickets in the Boeing ticketing system with potential duplication within the NASA system for non‑Boeing system issues.
  • Responsible for data collection, analysis, and report generation of performance metrics.
  • Loading images and deploying new computing devices to users or locations.
  • Maintaining property inventory and reconfiguring computing devices.
  • Supporting Video Tele Conference (VTC) setups to ensure rooms are ready prior to meeting start.
  • Coordinating/interacting with non‑Boeing organizations (e.g., NASA, DCMA, NASA contractor, etc.) located at the facility, when needed, to ensure technical services operate as planned and any problems get resolved.
  • Developing, reviewing, and following processes and procedures.
  • Being a team player by delivering on job responsibilities, helping others on the team, treating everyone with respect, and actively participating in team meetings to address the status of open work items.
  • Managing and optimizing infrastructure with Linux-based and Windows systems, handling routine administration tasks and ensuring smooth operation of servers.
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure secure and efficient deployment of applications, considering networking and security best practices.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to deployments, servers, networks, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Ensuring continuous monitoring, performance tuning, and incident management to maintain system uptime and reliability.
  • Working with cross‑functional teams to implement network and server security protocols and policies to safeguard infrastructure and data.
EDUCATION
  • AA or BS Degree in an IT or related field of study.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years.
SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and system administration.
  • Mid or proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Mid-level experience with CI/CD pipelines, automating workflows from code commit to production.
  • Mid-level in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and their integration into Dev Ops workflows.
  • Experience with implementing network and server security measures, ensuring best practices for securing applications and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of server administration, including installation, maintenance, and monitoring of servers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve deployment, system, networking, and security issues.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, etc.).
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to successfully work in a dynamic, fast‑paced, team environment with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of information technology including software, operating systems, telecommunications, and hardware available to be applied to the customer needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of methods/tools used to troubleshoot IT system problems.
  • Ability to logically analyze systems and/or programming problems and develop satisfactory solutions.
  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs. and physically fit to work the multi‑acre plant floor.
  • Certifications, e.g., CompTIA A+ and Dell Certifications are a plus.

  • United States Citizenship Required.
